How long will my child be at Patches West after the procedure?
After the procedure, your child will rest comfortably in our recovery area while our nursing team monitors them closely. Recovery time varies by procedure, but most patients spend about 30 minutes to 1.5 hours in our recovery area before going home. Our team will set realistic expectations with you ahead of time so you can plan accordingly.
Can I stay with my child?
Yes, you can stay with your child before surgery. However, when it’s time for the procedure to begin, we ask that you remain in the waiting room until it is complete. Once your child is awake in the recovery room, you can join them again.
Does insurance cover procedures performed at a surgery center?
